Stem Racing(formerly F1 in schools)

Team Velora is a high school team proudly competing in STEM Racing, a global competition formerly known as F1 in Schools. This competition challenges students aged 11–19 to create and manage a fully functioning team, taking on roles in engineering, enterprise, marketing, and project management. Together, we design, manufacture, and race miniature F1-style cars, applying real-world STEM principles in a highly competitive and innovative environment.

Our journey began with a shared passion for engineering and motorsport. As a team of six students, we took on the full scope of the competition: designing a high-performance car using aerodynamic and mechanical principles, managing a structured development process, and building a strong team brand and identity. Throughout this process, we documented our work in a comprehensive portfolio that reflects our design thinking, testing methodologies, and enterprise strategies.

After extensive preparation, we successfully qualified for the National Stage of the competition, where we competed against 8 other regional teams. Our team was honored to receive the Best Verbal Presentation Award, a recognition of our communication skills and deep understanding of our project. This achievement reinforced our confidence and has inspired us to push further.

Now, we are preparing to compete against 20 top teams from across Saudi Arabia at the upcoming National Finals. We are determined to secure a place at the World Finals, and we know that every detail matters, especially in our design and manufacturing process. To reach the next level, we are seeking to enhance our car through advanced 3D printing technologies, which allow for improved precision, material properties, and performance.
