Following a crash at Wild West Motorsports Park the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team worked to repair the Pro 2 truck for the Las Vegas, Nevada LOORRS rounds 15 and 16

AIRAID Performance Filters supported Jeremy McGrath Motorsports had a busy month of September getting the Pro 2 truck repaired after a massive crash at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada near Reno, Nevada. Jeremy McGrath, a 7-time 250cc AMA Supercross champion, was fortunate to have walked away from what many people have called one of the worst crashes in off-road short course history. Jeremy McGrath and fellow Pro 2 racer Carl Renezeder made contact at the end of the front straight away where the trucks were reaching speeds of 95 MPH. The Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck driven by Jeremy McGrath hit the end of a k-rail barrier and took flight. The truck rolled several times before coming to a stop on its roof in the middle of the track. Luckily, McGrath radioed his crew and told them he was okay and getting out of the truck.

Following the crash at Wild West Motorsports Park the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team worked every day to make all the necessary repairs and get the AIRAID filters equipped Pro 2 ready for the Las Vegas, Nevada rounds 15 and 16 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series (LOORRS). "It’s good to be at the track and have a new truck ready to race. Reno is behind us and we want to get back to winning." Jeremy told several fans during the Thursday practice session. The Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ran great the next day for LOORRS round 15. Jeremy McGrath started the race from the fourth row but had moved up to the 4th spot by lap 10. On lap 13 bad luck struck again in the form of a rock that became wedged in the carburetor linkage. Jeremy McGrath would have to settle for 5th place in LOORRS round 15 because of limited power.

The Pro 2 race was the final race of LOORRS round 16 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team was excited to race toward a Pro 2 podium finish

On Saturday night the Pro 2 race was the final race of LOORRS round 16 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Jeremy McGrath’s Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels AIRAID powered Pro 2 truck looked great and the Jeremy McGrath Motorsports team was excited to race toward a podium finish. Jeremy McGrath got an excellent start and was able to pass three trucks by turn one. Jeremy was on the move and heading toward the front before disaster struck on lap 5. A fuel line on the Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ruptured and set fire to the truck. LOORRS officials immediately red flagged the race and Jeremy McGrath was able to exit the truck safely. The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series safety crew successfully put out the blaze very quickly.

Jeremy McGrath got an excellent start in LOORRS round 16 passing three trucks by turn one; however a fuel line on the Loctite - Fuel Off Road Wheels Pro 2 truck ruptured causing a fire

"It was painful to watch this very strong team suffer a malfunction and not finish the race. We all work so hard and love what we do. Off-Road racing can be brutal at times, but we can WIN again! We will go back to the shop and do some testing and try to finish out the year strong at our home track in Lake Elsinore, California on Oct 24th and 25th," said Jeremy McGrath after the disastrous events of Saturday night.
